Charlton Blackburne has over 20 years of experience managing leading actors of diversity and is highly respected in the entertainment community when it comes to talent representation in the US and internationally.

 

Like many other successful producers, agents, and managers in the business, Charlton started as an intern in a management company. He worked for 13 years as a manager at A Management Literary/Talent with the likes of Sarah Rafferty (“Suits”), Ian Anthony Dale (“Hawaii Five-0”, “Salvation”, “The Hangover” and “Murder In The First”), Taye Diggs (“ All American”, “Private Practice”, “Chicago”, “The Best Man”, and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back”), Adam Rodriguez (“Magic Mike”, “Criminal Minds”, and “CSI Miami”), Meta Golding (“Empire”, “Behind The Movement” and “Hunger Games: Catching Fire & Mockingjay”), and Shemar Moore (“S.W.A.T.”, “Criminal Minds”, and “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”). In addition, he had worked with emerging writers on the development of television projects through the company’s 5-year development deal at ABC/Walt Disney Co.

 

In 2016 Charlton went independent and started Charlton Blackburne Management and partnered with his longtime client Ian Anthony Dale to form 20K and entered into a development deal for TV with CBS Television Studios. As Partner at 20K, Charlton is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the company as well as identifying new diverse voices skilled at telling global and inclusive stories. Additionally, Charlton spearheaded an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to produce a Spanish language short LOCAS adapted from a successful Spanish play that focused on the growing global issue of mental illness. Charlton's worldly experiences have helped him keep a fresh perspective on broadening the careers of his clients, and will allow him to identify some of the most exciting new voices in scripted television for 20K. Charlton has great relationships with some of the best casting directors, agencies, producers, writers and publicists in Hollywood.
